魔境 Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all说明:
Cindolla is a clinic specializing in professional health and biotech beauty products. The available space was approximately 3640.57 square feet, and was to be completely re-designed from the ground up. As the facility was intended for higher spending, the design concept was derived from a modern re-approach of childhood dreams. This will induce a sense of wonder, and provide a magical journey for the client as they venture through each of the spaces the facility has to offer.
It’s safe to say just about every girl grew up wanting to be a princess. The extravagant lifestyle, beautiful clothes and adornments, a grand lovely living space, all shaped the luxurious dream that women have today. In this particular case, the stories of Cinderella and Snow White were chosen to represent these concepts.

“Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?”

This quote had completely given mirrors a new meaning. The reflective surface originally meant to view and modify one’s current outer appearance had become a set goal whereas both the mirror and the one in front achieve satisfaction. Utilizing this concept, the consultation rooms were designed with a black decorative mold forming the outer layers of our own magic mirrors. However, despite the concept being mirrors, the walls on which they reside are not reflective, but instead, glass windows. As the client approaches their consultation with their new ideal outer appearance in mind, they will be able to take that image and bring it through and within the mirror. Instead of consulting the voice within, the thought is actually taken into the world beyond manifests the beginning of their new desired look, and also the much anticipated answer of “you” when consulting the all seeing magic mirror. As Snow White and the magic mirrors symbolize the beginning, the story of Cinderella demonstrates the end. Upon entering the clinic, the client will immediately be greeted by a five-foot tall glass slipper, as well as a three and a half foot tall pumpkin carriage. Acquiring the slipper means that one is ready to attend the ball, along with the carriage to transport. At the consultation’s end, the slipper is left behind until the result and proceedings find the client and deliver them to their new look.
The proposed floor plan will have eight different rooms: Main hall, auditorium, green corridor, massage room, consultation room, showroom, accounting office, and head office.  As one enters into the main hall, they will immediately become the center of attention, literally. The entire space will be created using reflective materials so the client will instantly become the main character of the story. Within the main hall there is also a reception desk and bar table both adorned with large luxurious curtains, adding to the glamorous feel, and of course, the main attraction of the hallway, the glass slipper and carriage. Both the slipper and carriage are made from acrylic pieces that snap together to form display cases for new or notable products. Its grand size and beautiful transparent material makes for an instantly memorable piece, and effectively pointing out the point of the Cinderella story. Following the main hall comes the auditorium. This space is designed for presentations as well as a VIP room in order to cater to the bigger clients. LED lights are placed hanging from the ceiling, providing a luxurious glow, and beautiful shine for the darker themed room. Three mirror frames cover each of the walls, aside from the fourth that holds the TV. Following the presentation, the client will enter the green corridor; that of which connects the entire facility. Green means greenery, or in other words, creating a forest within the hallway. The floor is paved with small pebbles and gravel along with patches of grass with seating, and the walls are covered with a custom painting of a forest with fairies, and also the same LED lights as the auditorium. This provides the transition from the literal sense of beauty from the previous two spaces, and segues into the wonder factor, which leads into the proceeding magic mirrors. Consultations are meant to be as comfortable as possible. The soft quality carpet, warm lighting, comfortable seating, are all meant to make the client feel relaxed and able to express their desires with the utmost confidence. The remaining rooms are fairly self-explanatory. The showroom is to feature products, massage room for massages, and of course, the head office for the one in charge.
Attending a beauty clinic or attempting cosmetic surgery can be a very private and sometimes stressful matter. This design was created to combat those feelings and instead, provide a refuel of childhood wonder so the process can instead become a pleasant experience. From the glamour of princess accessories, to the wonder of a magical forest and mirrors, Cindolla will reach out to the beautiful you and fulfill those wishes of a better image within its beautiful space.
