本案屋齡約20餘年，整體原始格局因為櫃體與結構牆的配置，顯得極為封閉而陳舊，需要全面性的重整。然而我們所面臨的挑戰，卻是來自屋主早在裝修之前已添購的大型家具，包括客廳起居座椅、餐桌及臥室床架等。因此，全新空間的規劃重點，無論是材質的選用、色彩搭配或是氛圍的營造，即從家具本身散發的質性為出發，同時融入屋主喜好的沉穩寧靜風格成就一現代禪風住宅。

This is a house over 20-year-old, the overall structure was old, which means it needed comprehensive restructure. However, the challenge that we faced was, dweller had bought in large items of furniture such as sofa, dining table and bedstead before remodel. To have a healing and comfortable Zen style living place, we put the focus on the word Zen which reflects the taste of the owner. According to the furniture which already in the place, we brought the Zen aesthetics into the house by modernism way and create a unique, integrated, stress relief modern oriental aesthetics.

設計核心：禪

禪的中心思想是「簡」與「靜」，東方文化的美好是可以在現代化的洪流中以新樣貌呈現的，並同時保留其精髓。我們將重新定義禪風，在公共廳區裡將平面打開，保留視野不受外物遮蔽的大面窗景，同時引光入室，而玄關的部分則表現了東方園林的意象，利用磁磚的區隔，隱約的打造了庭園小徑之感；鄰窗處設計一列兼具收納機能的實木臥榻，這裡想呈現如同陽台般的空間，給人沉靜的氛圍，也讓室外的車水馬龍與室內能有個緩衝，同時解決屋內沒有陽台的問題。

The specialty of Japanese Zen style is simple and serene. We brought the oriental garden image into this space by the arrangement of texture, create a calm atmosphere in order to differentiate the noise from outside, with the commodious feeling, makes the place deep and quiet. The accordant lines make space unify.

延伸至牆面另設一面以鐵件為元素的落地書櫃，為喜愛閱讀的家庭成員構築出開放的書房場域。為突顯實木家具的溫潤質地，電視主牆面以低彩度灰階磚面呈現，餐廳一側的立面櫃體則採古樸雅致的深色木質調構成；此外，我們亦精心研究各式照明燈具的射程、色溫等細節，在敞開的空間格局裡，透過內嵌光源締造暈黃意境，醞釀充滿東方詩意且令使用者感到舒適的室內環境。

The open public space widens our visual, at the same time a big window lead in natural light. There is a wood couch include storage capacity near the window. Steel bookcase as the main element at the other side of the wall, and created a study room for family members who love reading. To highlight the elegance of texture, we do less modeling as we can. The long couch along the window is an area for longing, we try to make it stress relief as balcony do.

我們一向服膺減法設計的原則，讓居住者能用自己的方式演繹出獨特的生活感；而為了呼應屋主所擁有的多幅藝術畫作，亦希望於住宅形塑有如藝廊般的樣貌，因此除去設計中不必要的元素、為空間留白也是此案極為重要的設計手法。通透的廳區場域減少一般居家之中常見的大型收納量體設計，並採平頂天花避免繁複線條造成壓迫，天花亦以脫開溝縫作為修飾，在簡潔的空間結構中帶出立體層次。

To make the difference of modern style, which is trending nowadays, we want to define Zen in a brand new way. We have always been honored with the principle of subtractive design so that occupants can derive their unique sense of life. In response to the numerous artworks by the owner, we hope that residents can shape like an art gal - lery. Therefore, we removed unnecessary elements, and leave it plain. Ventilation hall area reduces the large storage volume design that can be easily seen in the common house, the flat ceiling is to avoid oppression made by the complicated liners. Besides, the seam as the modification brings in three - dimensional level to the simple space.

對我們來說，室內設計所背負的使命是下至屋主上至環境的，除了給屋主最完善的設計方案，工程上的用料更是我們對屋主的責任，我們相信一個好的空間除了視覺上、機能性上的卓越，能達到屋主與空間的互動性，才是好的設計，而這當中也包含了環保上的考量，我們選擇環保白膠、環保強力膠等環保塗料劑與除甲醛健康塗料，木材、建材上都使用環保除醛，讓屋主能住的安心與安全。
