France, with the popular impression of its elegance, romanticism, and comfort in living, all of which culminated in an enriched cultural content and aura, has become a subject of nostalgia for the client who worked and refined living experience in Paris. Those added to his fascination with 18th Century oriental elements; therefore, the design team was tasked to satisfy the nostalgia of the client in imbuing the classic residence in Taipei with quality and essence of French-style living.
As this design consists of French-Styled Soul and Oriental Elements, the French romantic classic symbolism was created through the rhythmic movement of light complemented by classically sculpted lining. In order to create an enriched way of living, the design team adopted customized antiquated and detailing-rich upholstery infusion with visual arts, display culture, and elegant living in creating such look and feel of the new classicism. In terms of circulation, as the lighting coming through the living room penetrates through the front and back, and demarcates the interior domains, so visually, the classic furniture, oriental decoration, and antiquated-look items, etc., guided this aesthetic taste of elegance and humility.
This project is of an internal area of 130 square meters with a layout of the entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, study, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
As this project was started with the unfinished concrete interior, the design team, apart from discussing with the client over the overall interior style, also tirelessly communicated with the developer in modifying the original development design by adjusting window location and dimensions, as recommended by the design team.
