Flavors 为台湾南部非常知名五星级饭店的中国菜-湘粤餐厅,设计想法以湘粤菜的烹饪器具之一-蒸笼,采用它的圆的外型,在长型的空间中去分隔出部分用餐使用范围,让空间的运用更加灵活。
同时将中国独特带有好事意味的色彩-胭脂红以及蕴含中国历史的材质-青砖,作为表现具有东方风格的室内设计元素。
吊灯设计为设计师创作的作品,外型源自湘粤菜最知名的烧卖,使用LED,兼具美学外观与节约能源。以蒸笼的圆的外形为概念,隔出用餐区域。私人包厢以圆形空间呈现,天花板造型呼应著圆形餐桌设计,在中国人用餐习俗中代表著家人之间的情感交流。
餐厅兼具举办婚宴的功能,中国字-囍,代表著为结婚新人带来祝福,设计师把这个字以现代的意象,表现在墙面设计。在Flavors 这个设计案,我们试图理性的分析中国饮食文化的特色,并将这些特色运用在灯具设计、空间区隔、使用动线以及视觉的搭配上,我们的目标是要创造出一个新的东方美学,并且让它成为中式餐厅代表性的作品。在这个案件中,我们重视的是提供人们的舒适的用餐空间,最重要的是透过我们的设计,让每个使用这个空间的人,保有人与人之间的情感交流。
The Flavors is a Chinese restaurant that serves Hunan and Cantonese cuisines at a very well-known five-star luxury hotel in southern Taiwan. The restaurant is designed by adopting the concept of a steamer that is known as a cooking utensil for Hunan and Cantonese cuisines, adopting its round shape and rectangle space for the design of a dining area in order to have the space used more flexibly.
Moreover, utilize the unique Carmine meaning good fortune to Chinese and the black brick representing Chinese history as the oriental-style interior design elements.
The chandelier design is the creation of the designer with an appearance originated from the most famous Hunan and Cantonese dumplings. The use of LED is for the essence of aesthetics and energy savings.The dining area is zoned in accordance with the concept of a steamer shape.
The private room is presentedin a circularspace. The ceiling style corresponds with the roundtable design, representing the emotional communication between Chinese family members during dining.
The restaurant can be used for weddings banquet.Chineseword–囍(Happiness) represents blessings to newly-wed couples. The designers have the word – happiness presented on the wall design.For the Flavors design project, we are trying to rationally analyzethe characteristics of Chinese food culture; also, apply these features to the lighting design, space segment, moving route,and visual appreciation. Our goal is to create a new East aesthetics and let it become an icon of Chinese restaurants.Our intention in this case is to offer people a comfortable dining space and most importantly is to maintain emotional communication between people in this space through our design.
