建築是人與環境之間一個重要的連結，一個好的環境，應該要從建築到室內，做一致性的設計，內外空間的相互交融，成就一個完善的建築有機體，但是環顧現在的建築，為了要快速產出，所以不斷的製造出所謂的「商品房」，即是建商已經先預設立場，將使用者的需求統一，開發出一個模組，並使用這樣的模組不斷的蓋出一棟又一棟相似的建築，而建築的內與外被劃分出明顯界線，將人與自然周遭環境做隔絕，建築成為人與環境之間的對峙堡壘，只是保護人們生活免於自然威脅的要塞，使得人們無法享受到外環境；會館的設計我們期許能夠創造出與外環境和諧共存、共生、讓生活能夠親近自然的建築，讓使用者感受師法自然所帶來的美好。

在建築體的設計上，我們屏除掉一般制式的建築外觀，採用柯比意建築大師在SOVOYE的別墅基本語彙－自由柱列（架空的軀體）、自由平面（流動的感官）、自由立面（幻變的面容），水平長窗（橫向的目光）、屋頂花園（天空的想像）、坡道與梯（舞動的身體），將整個建築看成一個有機體，一般建築設計，對於一個建築形體，總是認為每個樓層都應該有相同結合點，才能堆疊，但是會館的設計卻讓人驚訝，因為每個樓層的外觀，透過不同的線條去做堆疊，打破了一般建築的設計，如此的矛盾，卻也統一了整個建築，這種統一感是和所有的矛盾糾葛之後，才得以呈現的一種思考軌跡與深度，而水平展開的方式，也力於視覺擴展，讓空間感無線延伸。

在建築牆面上，結合了陽極處理的鋁板外皮層與RC牆體之間留出縫隙，將低側的開口導入冷空氣，可排出皮層與RC之間的輻射熱源，是被動風牆的設計，梯間的尺寸收放，與適度的外氣導入，亦利用了熱浮力原理有效排出室內的熱空氣。在冬天時，則是利用建築體本身、大片綠樹、複層牆等功能，有效阻隔冷空氣的侵略，讓會館整體的溫度達到冬暖夏涼的境界。

然而相反的，會館的設計卻因為綠樹、落水流瀑與建築界線間的曖昧不明，帶著非對稱構造的會館建築設計，更能讓社區的住戶走出室外，與大自然交融，敞開心懷與鄰居交談、聯誼、傳遞友誼。

建築物的大面窗向東側，是水瀑與綠樹的自然型態交融，避開了台灣南部西曬的窘境，2F泳池面向東北方，對應其之的是大片綠樹，舒緩了冬季早晨的寒風衝擊，給予長者舒適的游泳環境……。

透過與環境共存共生，體驗大自然帶給我們的陽光、空氣、水在結合建築後所產生美好的生活經驗。藉由自然界植物量體去影響建築物的物理量，是可以被實踐的。

隨著時間改變而移動的光影、吹過的風所攜帶的氣味、建築裏頭人們的交談聲、在周邊漂浮的空氣對肌膚的觸感，除非親自前往現場﹔使用手足以至於全身的感官與性靈來體驗外，並沒有其他方法了。

建築是為了解人類而存在的一種裝置。

會館本為社區居民休閒集會之場所，當人與建築產生互動關係，外在的自然環境就是不可或缺的元素，環境與建築的對應牽涉到人與自然的關係，故在會館的設計上不僅須舒適的室內環境，更需具備外在環境的條件。會館除了滿足居民在餐飲、閱讀、健身、教學方面等基本需求外，更應達到交誼、人際溝通等目的，其中最重要的是能讓社區居民能夠有幸福感及歸屬感。

It is a very important connection between people and the environment. A good environment contains a consistent design from the architecture to the interior. The coordination between Interior design and space makes a perfect structure of architecture. Comparing to architecture nowadays, in order to complete the procedure quickly, the architect has already had the idea before discussing with clients. The so called “business houses” are built consistently. The requirements of clients are unified, so the buildings are similar. There is a clear separation between outdoor environment and interior space. People are separated from the surrounded environment. Buildings become fortress between people and the environment.  There are just like protections for people from natural disaster. However, people cannot go outside either.

In the design of architecture, We get rid of general outlook of architectures, while using Le Corbusier’s , master of architect, elements used in villa SOVOYE, Freedom column (elevated body), free graphic (senses of flow), the free facade (Magic outlook), the level of long window (horizontal gaze), roof garden (Imagination of sky) and ramps and ladders (dancing body). We seea building as a life. There should be connection between every floor, so that there will be correspond. The design of villa surprises people because there are different designs in every floor. It breaks the tradition and contradiction of a design of architecture. However, it unifies the whole design. The sense of unification comes after the contradictions of design. It shows deep concern of design. Horizontal extension and visual extension make the space extent without limitation.

The wall of architecture contains anodized aluminum and RC layer. It helps the emission of hot air caused by sunshine radiation. The size of the retractable stairwell and appropriate outside air introduction using the hot buoyancy principle, it discharge hot air effectively. The same design used in stairwell as well. In winter, the design, large trees, double wall and other functions effectively block invasion from cold air. It keeps the villa warm in winter and cool in summer.

The design concept of Social and Recreation Hall which are the blurred boundary between architecture and landscaping, such as waterfall and trees and the unsymmetrical building structure makes the residents in this community willing to walk out from their homes to interact with the beauty and freshness of nature and open their minds to chat and increase intimacy with their neighbors.

The massive windows of the hall faces the delightful and beautiful scenery presented by the harmonious blend of waterfalls and tress on the west, solving the western-sun-exposure problem in the southern part of Taiwan while the swimming pool on the second floor faces a wide area covered with numerous giant and beautiful trees on the northeast, smoothing the coldness of north wind in the winter morning and providing the elderly in this community with a comfortable and enjoyable condition for swimming.

Through the concept of co-prosperity and coexistence with natural environment, you could enjoy the wonderful living experience from the specially designed architecture which combined with air, water and sunshine from nature. It is feasible to alter and soften the perception of coldness and hardness given by the physical property of the architecture through the liveliness and freshness of vegetation.

Only when one comes here and experiences the wonderfulness of the architecture with their sensory perception and minds could he/she experiences the change of light and shadow with passing of time, the sweet and fresh scent in a gentle breeze, the delightful and happily chatting sound from the residents, and the delicate touch given by the warm and sweet air in the cordial atmosphere.

Architecture is a physical structure and existence which could help us, human beings, to understand and realize our lives, our souls and ourselves better.

Social and Recreation Hall is a place for residents in this community to gather together in their leisure time. When people start to interact with the architecture, the natural environment would become a vital and indispensible element for design because one's relationship with nature could be easily affected by the concordance and harmony between the architecture and environment. Therefore, our design of Social and Recreation Hall emphasizes not only comfortable indoor environment but also natural outdoor environment. In addition to fulfilling residents' need for dining, reading, exercising and teaching and learning, Social and Recreation Hall should also provide a comfortable environment for residents to socialize with their neighbors. However, the most important design concept of all is our expectation to provide residents in this community with a sense of belonging and happiness.
